Cylus and Moxa Partner to Deliver Onboard Cybersecurity on Moxa's Widely Deployed Rail Computers

New York City, New York, October 15, 2026. Cylus, the global leader in rail cybersecurity, and Moxa, a global leader in industrial networking and computing, today announced an integration between Cylus' CylusOne solution and Moxa's V-series rail onboard computers, including the V3200 Series. The integration lets rail operators run CylusOne's onboard cybersecurity solution, including threat detection and asset visibility, directly on Moxa hardware they already deploy, with no separate security appliance required.

Running on hardware already trusted by rail

Moxa's rugged, railway-certified switches and computers are already deployed across rail fleets and wayside networks worldwide. This integration turns that installed base into an advantage: rather than introducing and certifying a new device, operators can run CylusOne on Moxa V-series hardware already specified for the train, shortening deployment, reducing the onboard bill of materials, and adding a security layer on a platform they already know and trust.

A general-purpose platform, not a security box

The nature of the V-series makes this possible in itself. Unlike a single-function appliance, the V-series is a general-purpose, x86 onboard computer with built-in switching, a platform operators increasingly use to consolidate multiple onboard workloads. CylusOne simply becomes one more of those workloads: the CylusOne Probe installs as software on the Moxa computer, turning compute already destined for the train into a cybersecurity sensor, with no added weight, power draw, or cabinet space. For operators, this means:

  • No added hardware. No dedicated security box, no extra footprint, no change to the onboard bill of materials.
  • A rail-certified foundation. CylusOne runs on a platform engineered and certified for rolling stock (EN 50155, EN 45545, IEC 62443-4-1), rather than introducing an unproven device into a safety-critical environment.
  • Faster, fleetwide rollout. Fewer parts to procure, install, and maintain across a fleet, and a simpler path to compliance with TSA Security Directives, NIS2, IEC 62443, and TS 50701.

Once deployed, CylusOne delivers real-time asset inventory, vulnerability management, and threat detection and response across the onboard network: the rail-specific cybersecurity capabilities operators need to protect rolling stock.

"Moxa hardware is already on the trains and in the networks we protect. It's one of the most widely deployed platforms in rail. Integrating CylusOne with Moxa's onboard computers means operators don't have to introduce and certify yet another box; they get our cybersecurity on hardware they already run and trust. That's the shortest path to securing rolling stock at fleet scale," said Miki Shifman, Co-Founder & CTO, Cylus.

"Cybersecurity is fundamental to the safe and reliable modernization of rail operations. By enabling CylusOne to run on Moxa's railway-certified computing platform, this collaboration gives operators a practical way to strengthen onboard visibility and threat detection while making better use of infrastructure already deployed across their fleets. Cylus' specialized rail cybersecurity expertise makes it a strong fit with Moxa's commitment to building secure, resilient, and future-ready transportation systems," said Bob Wright, Director of Sales – Vertical Business Group, Moxa.
