IEC 63452:

The Final Countdown
Virtual Event
September 17, 2026 | 15:00 CET / 9:00 EST

IEC 63452, the first international cybersecurity standard for rail, has reached its final stage. The standard is at FDIS, and the ballot that locks the text closes at the end of September.

In this one-hour panel, members of the group writing it explain what it actually requires, and what rail operators, OEMs, and integrators should be doing now, before it publishes.

What we’ll cover

  • Where the standard stands, and what carries over from CLC/TS 50701
  • What it adds beyond IEC 62443, and how it fits rail safety and RAMS
  • Applying it to mixed fleets, legacy systems, and shared supplier responsibility
  • How it maps to NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, and TSA security directives

Straight from the working group

All of our panelists are members of the IEC 63452 expert working group, including the standard’s project leader, directly involved in drafting it. Bring your questions; there will be time to ask the authors directly.
