Rail Cybersecurity Leader Cylus Expands Executive Leadership Team and US & Global Presence

Shawn Smith, VP Business Development and Strategic Alliances, and Roark Pollock, VP Marketing, bring decades of industry experience to the company

Cylus, the global leader in rail cybersecurity, today announced the appointment of Shawn Smith as VP Business Development and Strategic Alliances, and Roark Pollock as VP Marketing. Pollock and Smith, both US-based, bring decades of industry experience to Cylus’ executive team as the company continues to expand globally to protect rail and metro systems amidst a rising number of cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure around the world.

Roark Pollock has amassed more than 20 years of experience in global networking and security companies, most recently serving as CMO at Gradient Cyber, a leading security operations center provider. Pollock has built a variety of agile marketing teams within growing companies, including in C-suite positions at Mission Secure, Ziften, and Ixia, among other industry-leading organizations.

Shawn Smith comes to Cylus from SecurityGate.io, where he served as Director of Global Alliances. During his tenure, he oversaw the establishment of key connections and partnerships in pursuit of securing critical infrastructure ecosystems from cyber-attacks. Smith’s prior experience includes managerial and directorial roles at Nozomi Networks, IBM Security Services, and HP Security, among others, in which he uncovered new market opportunities and established strategic partnerships.
