We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Director of Business Development to increase company revenue by identifying business opportunities and developing long-term relationships with both customers and partners. To be successful as a Director of Business Development, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional Director of Business Development should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will:

  1. Build solid relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams.
  2. Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.‎‎‏‏‏‏‏
  3. ‏‏‏‏Prepare all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  4. ‏‏‏Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
  5. Implement actions necessary to meet yearly revenues
  6. Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.‏‏
  7. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company, including Cylus’ management team
  8. Use automation software and software platforms that best meet company needs.‏‏

Requirements

We’re excited about you if you have:

  1. At least 4 years of experience in Business Development or Sales role in a high-tech industry, preferably cybersecurity 
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and deliver results in a  complex technical and business ecosystem  
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients, partners, and peers
  4. Ability to understand deep technology in an innovative ecosystem 
  5. Experience working with B2B or B2G customers
  6. Experience working for a startup company
  7. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineer, or a related field
  8. A true team player
  9. Creative and highly motivated individual
  10. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills in English (other languages are an advantage)
