Led by veterans from the elite technological unit of the Israel Defense Forces’ Intelligence Corps, together with top executives from the railway industry, Cylus’ team combines deep expertise in both cybersecurity and rail.
Cylus has expanded its existing offering of cybersecurity solutions and services, and is looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Business Development Director to lead our BD. The Business Development Director will support and guide internal and external relationships, which involve clients, tier-one OEMs, engineering and IT consultants. This professional must be a customer-oriented person, critical thinker able to negotiate with clients’ senior executives, with a proven record of success in expanding company objectives and exceeding business goals.

In this role, you will:

  1. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company, including Cylus’ management team
  2. Develop the yearly business plan per region and support its deployment in the main countries.
  3. Participate in the company’s strategy and its successful execution.
  4. Set sales objectives per country and implement actions necessary to meet yearly revenues.
  5. Generate leads.
  6. Participate in railway association committees (e.g., APTA), and sectoral conferences and exhibitions.
  7. Develop relationships with key managers within clients, grasp key decision chain of accounts, and be responsible for managing the account with
  8. Evaluate company goals on a quarterly basis.


We’re excited about you if you have:

  1. At least 10 years of business development experience in the technological industry, specifically in Cyber Security is a must!
  2. Railway industry experience is an advantage but not mandatory
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, System or software engineer, or a related field
  4. Experience in a customer-facing senior role
  5. Cross-functional partnership, experience navigating across teams with objectives to translate business strategies, initiatives, goals, and objectives into project proposals
  6. Manage activities and accounts within a CRM to efficiently input and track data in real-time
  7. Deep understanding of the competitive landscape in enterprise technology
  8. Driving key business development initiatives, from creation to implementation in partnership with senior executives.
  9. Ability to lead, influence and drive results in a complex technical and business environment
  10. Relevant experience in structuring, influencing/negotiating, and managing complex commercial deals
  11. Strong communication and collaboration skills, internally and with major external partners/customers
  12. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills in English (Hebrew or other languages is an advantage!)
  13. Quick thinking, with strong learning ability
